The origins of Naartjie

Naartjie Kids was founded by a mother of three boys who began designing kiddies clothes from her garage. As a designer by profession Anne Easels saw a gap in the market for locally designed kids clothes so since 1989, she produced beautiful clothes and sold them at up-market boutiques throughout Cape Town. It was in 1991 when the first Naartjie Kids store opened its doors in the renowned V&A Waterfront Cape Town. Later the Naartjie brand became a division of Truworths Limited. The company has grown with years and experience showcasing 30 stores to date in several shopping centres. Most of Naartjie's produced garments are manufactured with 100% cotton and 10 ranges are produced each year featuring fresh new colours and prints.
