The origins of Nissan 

Nissan Motor Company Ltd's name originates from Nissan zaibatsu which is now known as The Nissan Group. During 1911 Masujiro Hashimoto founded Kaishinsha Motor Car Works, which is known to be Japan's very first automobile manufacturer. The first car's name derived from the first initials of the 3 investors which formulated the acronym "DAT", which would later on give birth to the DATSAN. 

Since its inception Nissan has thrived with innovative technology and manufacturing methods and is one of Japans largest car manufactures with international relationships and Nissan dealerships worldwide including Nissan South Africa.
