Kit Kat Cash & Carry comes from humble beginnings with a single family run store established in 1953 as Kit Kat Café & Restaurant, however, the company faced a tragedy when a fire destroyed everything. Later the sons in law decided to rebuild the store which has become very popular amongst the local shoppers and this they had done in their own financial capacity. Financial issues resulted in the business relocating to different premises where they could afford the rent and customer traffic flow was better. In 1983 the Kit Kat Wholesalers was established and in 1989 a Kit Kat Hyperstore, expansion continued and today there are factories in South Africa and in other regions of the world.
